These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern access to and use of BigPrayer.org, BigPrayerMuseum.org, and any pages, features, forms, programs, community activities, media, software, and services that link to or reference these Terms (collectively, the “Platform”). The Platform is operated by Big Prayer Museum Inc. (“Big Prayer Museum,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

2. Eligibility and Children
You must be legally capable of agreeing to these Terms. If you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these Terms for you.
The Platform is not directed to children under 13 for independent use. A child under 13 may not create an account, submit personal information, publish content, provide precise location information, make a donation, or participate independently. Any child- or school-facing activity must be directed and supervised by an authorized parent, guardian, school, or facilitator and must use only the minimum information necessary.
If we learn that personal information from a child under 13 was collected without legally required authorization, we may delete it. A parent or guardian may contact us to request review or deletion.
3. Purpose; No Professional Advice
The Platform supports education, reflection, prayer, cultural preservation, community participation, positive action, and public-benefit programming. Content is provided for general informational, educational, spiritual, and community purposes only.
Nothing on the Platform is medical, mental-health, legal, financial, tax, investment, emergency, or other professional advice. Do not delay professional care or emergency assistance because of Platform content. If there is an emergency, contact the appropriate emergency service.
4. Work in Progress; Beta and Experimental Features
The Platform is an evolving work in progress. Features, calculations, maps, archives, terminology, designs, educational methods, community tools, and integrations may be incomplete, experimental, locally simulated, inaccurate, unavailable, or changed without notice.
- We do not promise uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, permanent preservation, compatibility, accuracy, or continued support for any feature.
- We may test, revise, suspend, restrict, or discontinue any portion of the Platform.
- Labels such as “preview,” “beta,” “draft,” “prototype,” “sample,” “projection,” or “local-only” mean the feature should not be relied upon as a final service or verified fact.
- You are responsible for keeping copies of material you need. We are not an archival backup service.
This section does not exclude any duty or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
5. Accounts and Security
If accounts are offered, you must provide accurate information, protect your credentials, and promptly report suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity under your account to the extent permitted by law. We may require verification, refuse registration, or suspend access to protect users, the Platform, or the public.
6. Community Submissions and Permissions
“User Content” includes prayers, stories, photographs, recordings, comments, event information, project ideas, business listings, testimonials, location information, and other material submitted through the Platform.
You retain ownership of your User Content. By submitting it, you grant Big Prayer Museum a worldwide, nonexclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, format, adapt for accessibility or technical display, moderate, publish, display, perform, distribute, and promote that User Content solely to operate, document, preserve, and communicate the Platform and its nonprofit mission. This license lasts while the content is used for those purposes and for reasonable archival, legal, backup, and historical-record needs.
You represent that you have all permissions required to submit the User Content; it is accurate to the best of your knowledge; it does not violate privacy, publicity, intellectual-property, confidentiality, contractual, or other rights; and any identifiable person shown or discussed has provided the permission required by law. Do not submit confidential, highly sensitive, medical, financial-account, government-identification, or exact-location information.
Submission does not guarantee publication, endorsement, preservation, compensation, attribution, or inclusion in the Big Prayer Museum Living Record. We may edit for length, safety, accessibility, clarity, or formatting; decline, remove, or restrict material; and retain internal records where reasonably required. Requests for removal will be considered, but deletion from backups, legal records, already-produced materials, or third-party shares cannot be guaranteed.
7. Acceptable Use
You may not use the Platform to:
- Break the law, infringe rights, impersonate others, or misrepresent affiliation.
- Harass, threaten, exploit, discriminate against, or endanger any person, especially a child or vulnerable person.
- Publish private information, precise location data, or images of another person without proper permission.
- Upload malware, interfere with security, scrape at harmful scale, probe vulnerabilities without written authorization, or disrupt service.
- Send spam, manipulate participation metrics, fabricate endorsements, or engage in fraud.
- Use Platform content or data to train, benchmark, or build a competing commercial system unless a separate license expressly permits it.
- Reverse engineer or bypass access controls except where applicable law or an express open-source license permits it.
- Use Big Prayer Museum names, marks, methods, or materials in a way that suggests sponsorship or approval without written permission.
8. Big Prayer Museum Intellectual Property and Founder Interests
Except for User Content, expressly licensed open-source code, and third-party material, the Platform and its selection, arrangement, text, graphics, audiovisual works, museum records, educational materials, designs, databases, calculations, documentation, workflows, names, logos, trade dress, and other content are owned by or licensed to Big Prayer Museum Inc. and are protected by applicable law.
The names and identifiers Big Prayer, Big Prayer Museum, Big Prayer in Motion, Court of Life, Geobody, SoundWater, associated logos, program names, and related goodwill may be trademarks, service marks, project identifiers, or protected branding of their respective owners. No right to use a name, logo, likeness, founder attribution, endorsement, museum identity, proprietary method, confidential material, or non-code asset is granted by implication.
Joseph Renwick Randon’s authorship, founder attribution, moral rights where recognized, preexisting works, methods, formulas, terminology, and other interests are not transferred merely because material is displayed, tested, contributed to, or made accessible through the Platform. Ownership and licensing of any particular project may be governed by separate written agreements, notices, or licenses.
Limited permission is granted to access and use the public Platform for personal, noncommercial, lawful purposes consistent with these Terms. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
9. What “Open Source” Means Here
Some software components may be released as open source. A component is open source only when Big Prayer Museum or the applicable rights holder expressly identifies the specific files or repository and provides a written open-source license covering them. Public access to a webpage, visible HTML or JavaScript, downloadable material, collaborative development, or a “work in progress” label does not by itself make material open source.
- Each expressly licensed component is governed by its stated license, including its permissions, conditions, attribution requirements, notices, patent terms, and warranty disclaimers.
- Third-party open-source components remain governed by their own licenses and copyright notices.
- Unless an express license says otherwise, open-source status does not cover trademarks, logos, names, domain names, museum archives, photographs, recordings, donor or participant data, private data, User Content, proprietary formulas or methods, sponsorship materials, or third-party content.
- No license is granted by implication, estoppel, website access, discussion, testing, or contribution.
- If these Terms conflict with an applicable open-source license concerning code covered by that license, the open-source license controls for that code only.
A contribution to an open-source project may require acceptance of the repository’s contribution rules or a separate contributor license agreement. Unless such rules say otherwise, do not submit code you cannot lawfully license, confidential employer material, personal data, or third-party code without compatible permissions.
10. Third-Party Services, Links, and Content
The Platform may link to, embed, or depend on third parties, including payment processors, maps, hosting providers, social networks, video platforms, analytics providers, sponsors, advertisers, schools, facilitators, and community organizations. Their terms and privacy practices govern their services. Big Prayer Museum does not control and is not responsible for third-party availability, security, accuracy, conduct, products, content, or policies.
A link, listing, spotlight, sponsorship, advertisement, map entry, or integration does not necessarily mean endorsement. You should independently evaluate third parties. Dealings with them are between you and them, except where Big Prayer Museum expressly agrees otherwise in writing.
11. Donations, Payments, Purchases, and Refunds
Donations and payments may be processed by a third-party payment provider such as Stripe. Big Prayer Museum generally does not receive full payment-card details. You authorize the stated charge and agree to provide accurate billing information.
A donation is not an investment, deposit, ownership interest, loan, account balance, or promise of financial return. Tax deductibility depends on law and your circumstances; retain the official receipt and consult a tax adviser. Unless a specific offer or law provides otherwise, donations are final once processed. Duplicate or unauthorized charges should be reported promptly to hello@bigprayermuseum.org.
Goods, event fees, sponsorships, advertising, or other purchases may be subject to additional posted terms. If those terms conflict with this section, the more specific terms control for that transaction.
12. Credits, Recognition, and Positive-Outcome Measures
Unless separate written program rules expressly state otherwise, participation points, badges, Impact Credits, campaign credits, acknowledgments, projections, scores, and similar measures are symbolic, promotional, or recognition-based only. They are not money, deposits, securities, bank accounts, investments, stored value, wages, interest, or property rights; are nontransferable; and are not redeemable for cash.
A program that expressly offers a benefit or redemption is governed only by its posted official rules, eligibility requirements, verification process, limits, expiration terms, and available funding. We may correct errors, reject manipulation, revoke improperly earned recognition, or end a program as permitted by those rules and law. A projection or example is not a promise of funding, payment, impact, or outcome.
13. Events, Contests, Raffles, and Promotions
An event listing is informational and may change. Attendance may involve separate registration, waivers, venue rules, age restrictions, safety requirements, or organizer terms. You voluntarily assume ordinary risks of participation, except to the extent liability cannot lawfully be limited.
A contest, drawing, raffle, sweepstakes, or promotion is not active unless official rules are posted and the activity is lawfully authorized. The official rules control eligibility, entry, winner selection, prizes, taxes, disclosures, and restrictions. Draft descriptions do not create a right to participate or receive a prize.
14. Privacy and Location Safety
Our collection and use of personal information is described in our separate Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms. Do not treat these Terms as a substitute for that policy.
Where a map or coordinate feature is offered, submit only an approximate city, region, or other privacy-protective location unless the feature expressly explains why a more precise location is needed and obtains appropriate consent. Never publish a child’s home, school, real-time, or precise location. We may reduce precision, delay publication, or remove location information for safety.
15. Copyright Complaints
If you believe material on the Platform infringes your copyright, email hello@bigprayermuseum.org with: your contact information; identification of the copyrighted work; the exact URL or description of the material; a good-faith statement that the use is unauthorized; a statement under penalty of perjury that the notice is accurate and you are authorized to act; and your physical or electronic signature.
We may remove or restrict material and may notify the submitter. A person whose material was removed may provide a legally sufficient counter-notice. Knowingly material misrepresentations may create liability. This contact procedure does not represent that Big Prayer Museum has completed any governmental designation or registration required for a statutory safe harbor.
16. Moderation, Suspension, and Termination
We may investigate, moderate, restrict, suspend, or terminate access; remove content; preserve evidence; and cooperate with lawful requests when we reasonably believe it is necessary to enforce these Terms, protect rights or safety, maintain the Platform, address fraud or security, or comply with law. Where practical, we may provide notice, but we are not required to do so when notice would create risk or interfere with an investigation.
You may stop using the Platform at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive—including ownership, licenses already granted, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity, dispute terms, and recordkeeping—survive termination.
17. Disclaimers
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE PLATFORM AND ALL CONTENT, PROGRAMS, CALCULATIONS, TOOLS, USER CONTENT, AND THIRD-PARTY MATERIAL ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” BIG PRAYER MUSEUM DISCLAIMS ALL EXPRESS AND IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, SECURITY, AVAILABILITY, AND RESULTS. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT CONTENT IS COMPLETE, THAT ERRORS WILL BE CORRECTED, OR THAT ANY SPIRITUAL, EDUCATIONAL, COMMUNITY, HEALTH, FINANCIAL, OR OTHER OUTCOME WILL OCCUR.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so portions of this section may not apply to you.
18. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BIG PRAYER MUSEUM INC. AND ITS DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, VOLUNTEERS, CONTRACTORS, LICENSORS, SPONSORS, AND AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, PUNITIVE, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES; LOST DATA, REVENUE, PROFITS, GOODWILL, OR OPPORTUNITY; OR DAMAGES ARISING FROM THIRD-PARTY CONDUCT, UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS, PLATFORM INTERRUPTION, USER CONTENT, EVENTS, OR RELIANCE ON PLATFORM INFORMATION.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THEIR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF THE PLATFORM OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID DIRECTLY TO BIG PRAYER MUSEUM FOR THE SPECIFIC SERVICE GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM DURING THE SIX MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT, OR (B) US $100. THIS LIMIT DOES NOT APPLY TO LIABILITY THAT CANNOT LAWFULLY BE LIMITED, INCLUDING ANY LIABILITY THAT APPLICABLE LAW REQUIRES TO REMAIN UNLIMITED.
19. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Big Prayer Museum Inc. and its directors, officers, employees, volunteers, contractors, and affiliates from third-party claims, losses, liabilities, and reasonable costs arising from your User Content, your unlawful or willful misconduct, your material breach of these Terms, or your infringement of another person’s rights. Big Prayer Museum will provide reasonable notice and may control the defense. This section does not require indemnification for Big Prayer Museum’s own conduct where prohibited by law.
20. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, and applicable United States federal law. Before filing a claim, you and Big Prayer Museum agree to make a good-faith effort for at least 30 days to resolve the dispute informally after written notice describing the issue and requested resolution.
Unless applicable law requires otherwise, judicial proceedings relating to these Terms or the Platform must be brought in a state or federal court with jurisdiction in Fort Bend County, Texas, and each party consents to personal jurisdiction and venue there. Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking urgent injunctive relief or using a court of proper jurisdiction for claims that cannot lawfully be restricted.
21. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as the Platform and law evolve. We will post the updated version and change the “Last updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated through a prominent notice or other reasonable method. Changes apply prospectively when posted or on a later stated date. Continued use after that date means acceptance; if you disagree, stop using the Platform.
22. General Terms
These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and any applicable program-specific rules form the agreement concerning the Platform. If a program-specific rule conflicts with these Terms, that rule controls only for that program. If any provision is unenforceable, it will be modified to the minimum extent necessary and the remainder will continue. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign your rights or obligations without written consent; Big Prayer Museum Inc. may assign these Terms in connection with an organizational restructuring, merger, asset transfer, or successor operation, subject to applicable law. Headings are for convenience only. Electronic notices and agreements may satisfy writing requirements.
